WEBSITE DESIGN &
DEVELOPMENT

What is a website?

A website is a location of web pages that are interconnected and accessible through the main page of a website using a browser.

How can a website increase online sales for your business?

The example of our clients, a clothing company for whom we developed a website, will be the best way to explain it. The company relied exclusively on Instagram to sell its products, but only after launching its website did the owner notice a significant increase from 100-300 to almost 800 purchases per month.

Here's how the site helped increase sales:

01. Increase brand credibility: a website provides credibility and legitimacy to your brand, which can be especially important for small businesses.

02. Improved customer experience: a website allows you to offer a comprehensive shopping experience with clear product descriptions, high-quality images, and the ability to process payments securely.

03. Advanced marketing efforts: The site gives you the ability to use various marketing tactics to drive traffic and increase conversions. It includes search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing, and even retargeting.

04. Data tracking and analysis: The website also provides valuable data that can help you track customer behavior and improve your marketing efforts over time.

How does a well-thought-out design increase website conversion?

According to a study by Stanford researchers, 46% of potential customers form an opinion about a website based on its appearance and interface. If the user does not like the design and the content is not trustworthy, the user leaves the site.

01. Good design does not always mean effective
The main task of design is to evoke the right emotions and associations with the brand, to engage the user in reading the text, and to push them to action. And with a visually pleasing website, the client is more likely to read the content.

02. Convenience is more important than style
Make life easier for your site visitors. Solve problems, not create new ones. The site must work for you, so make the design stylish and convenient at the same time.

03. Use good emotions
Focus the user’s attention on the main thing and help them quickly perceive the information you need. To do this, make the site simple and visually convey the emotions that will help the customer choose your product.

04. Inspire trust: live photos and people
People are interested in people: live photos, real stories and results. The market is oversaturated, and customers are selective. To make them choose you, be open.

05. Add some creativity
According to a Skyword study, content with creative images receives 94% more views on average.

06. Focus on a specific audience
You can’t please everyone. You don’t need to. You risk increasing marketing costs and getting low conversion/results when trying to reach out to everyone.

Which website to choose?

We develop the three most popular types of websites: landing pages, corporate websites, and online stores. Let’s take a closer look at each of these options:

01 Landing page
It is a single-page website dedicated to a specific product or service. It is designed to convert visitors into customers or leads by showing them a clear call to action. Landing pages are ideal for companies with limited offerings or plans to promote a single product or service.

02 Corporate website
It is a multi-page website that provides information about the company, its products or services, and its mission. It is designed to give visitors a complete understanding of the business and its offerings. Corporate websites are ideal for well-known companies with a wide range of offerings.

03 Online store
An online store is a website that allows customers to purchase products or services directly from the site. Online stores are ideal for businesses that sell physical or digital goods.

Here are a few examples of companies and the types of websites that are best suited for them:

– A local bakery that sells a limited range of bakery products will benefit from a landing page.
– A technology company with a wide range of products and services will benefit from a corporate website.
– A shop that sells clothes and accessories will benefit from an online store.

Let’s imagine that during the reporting period (October 2022) we attracted 1328 conversions from Facebook or Google. The average cost per click was $0.3.

Out of all the visitors to the site, only 43 left their phone number in the form, so we received 43 potential customers or leads.

1328 (clicks/visits to the site) * $0.3 (average cost per click) = $398.4 (spent on advertising)
43 leads / 1328 clicks * 100% = 3.23% – website conversion.
$398.4 / 43 leads = $9.27 – average cost per lead/application.

Our conversion rate was 3.23%, so is this a lot or a little? The principle applies here: the more, the merrier. Increase it while it increases.

There are no exact values. For example, according to a study by Data Insight, the best conversion rates are for online pharmacies (21.7%) and food (19%), and the worst are for sporting (3.1%) and household goods (2.8%). It doesn’t mean that you have to do the same – you can do better.

And to get a high conversion rate, you need to take a competent approach to a website or landing page development. And trust our experience – it’s best to entrust it to professionals.

To summarize, the type of website you choose depends on your business goals and the products or services you offer. Before making a decision, think about your target audience and what you want to achieve with your website.
